Deadline extension of the call for the selection of 3 leaders for FBK research centers

The deadline of the calls for the selection of the new Directors for the Sensors and Devices Center (FBK-S&D), Evaluation of Public Policies (FBK-IRVAPP) and Religious Studies (FBK-ISR) Centers has been extended until 10 September 2021. More information is available at jobs.fbk.eu

The calls posted aim to collect the expressions of interest of those who believe they can play a role of scientific and managerial leadership in a team game with high added value, at the FBK centers dedicated to:

  • Sensors and Devices (FBK-S&D)
    The scientific strategy of the Center for Sensors & Devices is focused on the study, design, development and production of sensors, devices and microsystems using mainly the internal silicon structure. In this context, Quantum Technology will be one of the most important pillars of the center’s future. Thanks to the strong skills of its 120 researchers and technicians and to its innovative facilities, the FBK-S&D center combines scientific excellence with the ability to enhance research results, applying a model of collaboration open to innovation within networks of national and international skills.

  • Evaluation of Public Policies (FBK-IRVAPP)
    The Research Institute for the Evaluation of Public Policies focuses on the evaluation of public policies, the dissemination of the results of this research, the promotion of a culture of impact evaluation, the training of policy evaluators, the analysis of inequalities, and the development of micro-simulation models for the analysis of fiscal policies and their distributional effects. Research activities focus on labor policies, education policies, industrial policies, welfare policies and dynamics of socio-economic inequalities.

  • Religious Studies (FBK-ISR)
    The Center for Religious Studies promotes research in the field of religion and theology with particular attention to the link between “religion and innovation” and to other key topics and issues related to other lines of research pursued in FBK.

These centers will indipendently implement the guidelines established by the strategic plan of the Foundation thanks to their financial endowment and the skills ensured by researchers, technologists, technical staff, doctoral students and other affiliate profiles.

The profiles sought for the director positions must include international experience and advanced scientific and/or managerial qualifications, as well as a proven network of relationships in the communities of their domains of reference.

Expressions of interest, which will be screened by an Evaluation Committee appointed by the Foundation’s Board of Directors, must be submitted to https://jobs.fbk.eu/ by 10 September 2021, 12pm, in the form of a written proposal.

An up-to-date CV must be attached to the proposal, listing the relevant publications and/or other research and development products of any kind, the scientific and managerial background of the candidates and their network of relationhips in the communities of reference.
