EIT Digital 2022 kicks off: applications are open until May 12, 2021

April 8, 2021

EIT Digital 2022 is aimed at entrepreneurial minds planning to launch or enhance a startup and a deep tech product (Innovation Factory), or to provide entrepreneurial digital technology training programs (Entrepreneurial Academy).

EIT Digital is a knowledge and innovation community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), co-funded by the European Union.

The EIT Digital 2022 programme is led by the EIT Digital Strategic Innovation Agenda 2020-2022, which identifies the five strategic areas to be supported for a strong digital Europe: Digital Tech, Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing and Digital Finance.

Proposals can be submitted from April 6 to May 12, 2021. The selection will be completed by the end of June 2021. Activities will start on January 1, 2022.

The EIT Digital Innovation Factory supports pan-European teams from academic organizations, research institutions and businesses. The selected businesses will be incorporated into the EIT Digital ecosystem and will receive a financial co-investment to launch or enhance their enterprise and their deep tech digital products.

The EIT Digital Entrepreneurial Academy provides support for the implementation of programs and courses aimed at entrepreneurial development. EIT Digital receives proposals for the Master School, Professional School and Summer School courses.

Willem Jonker, CEO of EIT Digital, says: “The EIT Digital ecosystem is extremely well positioned to contribute to the European Digital Decade. Join us to build European digital solutions with global impact. Join us in the delivery of entrepreneurial education programs that bring Europe digital talents and skills. In short, join us to build a strong digital Europe.”

EIT Digital currently has more than 300 partners from business and industry, research and academia, investment and the public sector. To date, it has supported over 370 startups and scaleups that have raised over € 1 billion, and more than 3,000 students have attended courses from the Entrepreneurial Academy.

It is the largest European ecosystem of digital innovation and training.
