FBK and MAMACROWD side by side to support businesses

Thanks to the collaboration started, FBK has now the opportunity to report to Mamacrowd the startups in its acceleration program that meet the requirements to access online capital raising through the equity crowdfunding portal

What is Mamacrowd

Mamacrowd is the main Italian equity crowdfunding platform. Run by SiamoSoci, Italian leader in the matching between investors and the unlisted world since 2011, it allows startups and SMEs preselected by the network of incubators, and promising companies that are already invoicing and with business validated by the market, to accelerate their growth through online capital raising.

With Consob resolution No. 19002 of August 6, 2014, Mamacrowd was registered under No. 8 in the Ordinary Section of the Register of online portals for the collection of risk capital by innovative start-ups.

History and numbers

SiamoSoci, manager of Mamacrowd, was founded by nine professionals from the entrepreneurship, innovation and investment areas, and is owned by Azimut, an Italian leader in the investments industry

From April 2016 to date, Mamacrowd has raised more than 7 million euros for innovative Italian companies, thanks to a community of over 20 thousand investors, successfully closing 87% of the campaigns launched.

New opportunities

This new collaboration, while committing FBK to meet the selective standards adopted by Mamacrowd towards every startup or spinoff, represents a further element of quality in accompanying companies created from FBK’s applied research. It also enrichs the mosaic of services offered by Hub Innovazione Trentino, which promotes the results of research and innovation in the Trentino system in order to support the development of the local economy.

Thanks to this agreement, FBK spin-offs and start-ups will have the opportunity to access, through a preferential channel, that is advantageous in economic terms as well, to financial support tools in order to accelerate business.

FBK, with its experience, also strengthens the Mamacrowd network, composed of 40 incubators, accelerators and institutions, allowing the platform to propose highly qualified projects ready to grow thanks to new capital.
