Evgeny Demenev

Evgeny Demenev earned a master’s degree in Quantum Optics from Novosibirsk State University in 2009. He subsequently completed a Ph.D. in Materials Science at the University of Trento in 2013. Since then, he has worked as an experimental physicist, with the main focus on system design and integration of silicon based semiconductor devices,
with particular emphasis on si-based X-Ray detectors and nanostructured metal oxides gas sensors

In recent years, he has led the integration and packaging activities in the SD center. Among other things, his work concentrates on developing and integration of advanced systems for space applications, including CubeSats and satellite modules. He has participated in creating a range of cutting-edge instruments, such as X- and gamma-ray spectrometers and charged particle detectors.
