Marco Savi

His M.Sc. thesis investigated users’ privacy concerns in a Smart Grid scenario.In 2016 he pursued a PhD in Information Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. His main research was related to the emerging Network Functions Virtualization paradigm and its application to the main network functions hosted in the access/aggregation segments of the network.From March 2016 he is a postdoc researcher in FBK CREATE-NET, where he is working on transport Software-Defined Networking, especially on the definition of algorithms for an application-aware network orchestration of IP/optical layers.

    Marco Savi, postdoc researcher of the Future Networks (FuN) research unit at FBK CREATE-NET, has been awarded with the Best Paper Award at the 8th IFIP/IEEE International Workshop on Resilient Networks Design and Modeling (RNDM), held in Halmstad, Sweden, from 13th to 15th September 2016.
