Matteo Fadini
Head of the FBK Library and Publishing Service.
He holds a Ph.D. in Literary, Linguistic, and Philological Studies from the University of Trento and a diploma in Archival Science, Paleography, and Diplomatics from the State Archives of Bolzano. He has worked as a researcher at the University of Trento, served as an adjunct lecturer at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, and contributed to the Universal Short Title Catalogue at the University of St Andrews.
His research focuses on 16th-century Italian literature, the history of books and libraries, and the digitization of archival and library materials.
He has led several journal digitization initiatives, including “HeyJoe—History, Religion and Philosophy Journals Online Access” (https://heyjoe.fbk.eu/), which has recently exceeded one million downloads. He has also overseen projects involving historical audio collections and the digitization of scientific and cultural monographs (https://archive.org/details/biblio-fbk?sort=-downloads).
