Mattia Manica

Mattia Manica is a researcher focused on eco-epidemiology and the mathematical modeling of infectious diseases. He joined the Center for Health Emergencies at FBK in 2020. With a background in mathematics, he earned a PhD in Infectious Diseases, Public Health, and Microbiology from Sapienza University of Rome in 2018. Before his current position, he served as a researcher at the Edmund Mach Foundation (2017-2020). His primary research interests cover the dynamics of vector-borne diseases, with a special focus on Aedes mosquitoes and their distribution and control strategies. Furthermore, his work involves analyzing the transmissibility of respiratory diseases, assessing the efficacy of surveillance systems, and evaluating the impact of public health interventions.
