CREATE-NET awarded at the Digital360 Awards

July 4, 2018

CREATE-NET has been recognized by Digital360 among the most relevant research centers in the promotion of digital innovation in Italy

The FBK research center focusing on Next Generation Internet engineering technologies is among the key players of the third edition of Digital360 Awards, an event promoted by Digital 360 SpA, a company active in the b2b offering of editorial content, lead generation, events and coaching in the field of digital transformation. The contest, aimed at promoting the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the digital arena, has drawn a number of innovative projects submitted to a jury composed by seventy CIOs of leading public and private companies.

The first two editions of Digital360Awards have been involving over 250 companies, while awarding 31 innovation projects.

This year’s event, structured around three days of panels, presentations and networking, will focus on three sources of innovation:

• projects carried out by companies and by the public administration

• research centers and technology parks in the Italian landscape

• innovation prospects of the main ICT vendors

The best 40 initiatives selected by the jury will be presented during the Digital360 Award event in Lazise (VR), from 4 to 6 July 2018.

Among them, Elio Salvadori, director of CREATE-NET, has been invited to present the mission and the activities of the research center:

·  Enablers for fast prototyping and delivery of innovative IoT services

·  Automating, reinforcing and securing the cloud-to-things continuum

·  5G-ready next generation internet

Italy is currently facing a great transformation of its entrepreneurial system, with companies giving a strong emphasis to digital transformation projects. CREATE-NET is playing a key role in this scenario; in fact, since its foundation, the Center has been focusing on technology transfer initiatives in synergy with key industrial partners, by leveraging on the investments in research and development obtained via competitive tenders.
