Fondazione Bruno Kessler and Kelyon: a strategic alliance for artificial intelligence in healthcare

The parties signed the Memorandum of Understanding with a shared commitment to taking a multidisciplinary approach to healthcare—combining research and innovation to deliver tangible benefits to citizens.

Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) and Kelyon Srl have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to design and encourage the conditions for open, constructive dialogue on issues related to artificial intelligence and its application in health care, while promoting the development of partnerships among stakeholders from the educational, institutional, and industrial sectors.

The agreement between FBK and Kelyon aims to identify strategies for patient empowerment in prevention and health management, while improving communication between health professionals and patients through Artificial Intelligence-based solutions. This multidisciplinary approach is essential to address the complex challenges of modern healthcare and to ensure that technological innovations are effectively integrated into existing systems.

Kelyon is a company based in Naples, specialising in the development of digital solutions for healthcare, with a strong focus on artificial intelligence and data analysis.    It collaborates with public bodies, pharmaceutical companies, universities and research institutes to create platforms and services that improve the quality of care, optimize clinical processes and support the management of health data in full compliance with European regulations.

Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) is a research institute specialized in the field of technology, innovation, humanities and social sciences, based in Trento. It is a research infrastructure that from the year of its establishment to date has grown to include 800 researchers and support staff, 180 doctoral students, 200 visiting professors and theses, 700 affiliates and accredited students, from Italy and abroad.

The premises now cover a total area of over 40,000 square meters, with 5,000 square meters dedicated to laboratories. The site comprises 12 research centers, 7 laboratories, and 2 libraries, around which companies, joint laboratories, and spin-offs are organized. Thanks to the contribution of almost 80 experienced researchers, FBK has directed its research to the experimentation of an integrative, widespread and reliable artificial intelligence.
