TreCovid19. The Web app for citizens to stay updated on the Coronavirus emergency in Trentino

The collaboration between the Province Government, the Trento Province Healthcare System and FBK was developed by TrentinoSalute4.0

Do you have concerns or questions about the coronavirus emergency? Do you want to know what measures have been taken in Trentino? What numbers to contact in case of need? The TreCovid19 App is now available, at https://trecovid.apss.tn.it, The app,  has been jointly developed by the Autonomous Province of Trento, the Trento Province Healthcare System and Fondazione Bruno Kessler, with the coordination of TrentinoSalute4.0. The App will be constantly updated and new features for remote monitoring of people in isolation and of home-treated coronavirus positive patients will be released in the coming days. The App also contains the information published on the Province Government website page dedicated to the coronavirus emergency created by the press office.

“In this time of emergency – councilor for health, social policies, disabilities and family Stefania Segnana explained at a press conference this afternoon – also TrentinoSalute4.0 has taken up the challenge, offering help to citizens and supporting doctors and operators. We have intercepted the need for many people to obtain information from reliable sources, since we are experiencing so much misinformation that has caused and continues to cause uncertainties and fears”.
The App, that can be downloaded as a web app – not from the Google and Apple stores, has been developed for all those who want to keep up to date on the emergency of the Covid-19 virus (COronaVIrus Disease 19) in Trentino and read news approved by official sources such as the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Trento Province Healthcare System but also the Ministry of Health.
An additional tool that allows internet surfers to avoid missing out on information from official sources. With all the typical features of mobile Apps.

You can find here the latest news, emergency contact numbers, guidelines, case statistics in Trentino, in Italy and in the world, insights, reference sites, recommendations, video updates, as well as receive information on actions to take and quickly find links to reference sites, decrees and ordinances of the provincial and national government.
But that’s not all. TreCovid19 is a simple and intuitive App, easy to navigate, which also offers the opportunity to see the video tutorials produced by the Trento Province Healthcare System for citizens, the communication campaigns promoted by the Province, the episodes of “Trentino News “and, in the “video updates” section, the daily press conferences. Under “Follow us” are also listed the Social Network channels of the Province, the Trento Province Healthcare System, Fondazione Bruno Kessler and TrentinoSalute4.0.
“In times when fake news are rampant, a tool able to support institutional channels and to collect documents and information from official sources only, is more than appropriate” – Giancarlo Ruscitti, general manager of the Health and Social Policies Department said.
“In addition to providing updated information to citizens, the App will be a valuable support for our operators who are in the forefront these days to win the war against the coronavirus pandemic. With this tool, doctors will be able to do a first assessment of the patient’s health status and decide whether to proceed with further treatment options according to the defined protocols”- Paolo Bordon, Trento Province Healthcare System director said.
TheTreCovid19 app cersion just released has a first set of features that are mainly aimed at improving communications with citizens. “We are already working on new features” – Diego Conforti, director of the Innovation and Research Office of the Trento Province Health and Social Policies Department added. “In particular, on an evolution that will allow remote monitoring of quarantined people and virus positive patients being treated at home.” Thanks to the App, patients will be able to enter information on their health status (self-monitoring) and healthcare providers can monitor the data remotely. The citizen/patient (or caregiver) must guarantee compliance with the treatment plan provided by health professionals and regularly enter the data.
