Alfredo de Bellis
Alfredo De Bellis is a researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler’s Center for Health Emergencies Center in Trento, Italy. Trained as a theoretical physicist and holding a PhD in mathematics, he develops mathematical and statistical models to study the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases. His research focuses on pathogens with diverse transmission routes, including SARS-CoV-2, norovirus, and HIV. Using a quantitative approach, he investigates transmission heterogeneities and explores scenarios that can inform and support public health decision-making.
