Eleonora Mencarini
Tenure Track Researcher at FBK. She obtained her PhD in Computer Science in 2018 from the University of Trento with a thesis in Human-Computer Interaction on ‘Designing Wearable Devices for Climbing: Integrating the Practice and the Experience Perspectives of Outdoor Adventure Sports’.
Her current research focus is Sustainable Human-Computer Interaction.
Technologies to help people understand climate change, reflect on their behaviours/habits and change them in favour of more sustainable behaviours (e.g. data physicalisation).
How modelling and local knowledge can inform environmental policy (anticipatory governance).
Involvement of local communities in the creation of innovative services, both in rural and non-rural areas (participatory design).
Design of technologies for sport (especially wearable technologies and mountain sports).
