For a Human-Centered AI

Lorenzo Lucchini

Lorenzo is a Post Doc researcher in the Mobile and Social Computing Lab (MOBS, lead by Bruno Lepri) at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (Trento, Italy).

By leveraging new data streams he aims at a better understanding and modelling of complex systems and, in particular, human behaviour. His research focuses on the understanding social systems coupled with a technological component (e.g. AI machines) and how human behaviour adaptat to these new enviroments.

As visiting researcher, he collaborates with professor Alex Sandy Pentland, in the MIT Connection Science and the MIT Media Lab – Human Dynamics groups, studying human behavioural response and effects of the interaction between social systems and emerging financial realities.
Lorenzo is presently also working with the World Bank (Washington DC, US) on the project “Monitoring COVID-19 policy response through human mobility data” helping governments and policy makers to ease the COVID-19 pandemic burdens.
