Chiara Zampieri

Chiara Zampieri, graduated in Historical Sciences and PhD in Contemporary History, is currently a research fellow at the Italian-Germanic Historical Institute of Trento-Bruno Kessler Foundation with a project (co-financed by the Germanic Historical Institute of Rome) on history political-cultural history of the Italian public debt in the 1980s and 1990s and is an adjunct professor of Political, Social and Cultural History of the Contemporary Age at the Department of Communication and Social Research of the La Sapienza University of Rome. Previously, she was a research fellow at the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Roma Tre in the context of the PRIN 2017 project Italy and the political-cultural transformations related to the “Shock of the Global”. In 2020 she was the holder of a research grant at the Flamigni Archives to conduct research on Enrico Berlinguer’s thought on the moral question. In 2018/2019 she was a research fellow at the University Center for the History of the Resistance and the Contemporary Age of the University of Padua as part of the project: “National Edition of the Works of Aldo Moro. Critical and commented edition of volume IV, volume II. The return to the center-left and “national solidarity” June 1973-May 1978 ». His research interests and publications concern the political history and political cultures of republican Italy, terrorism and the responses to terrorism in Italy and abroad in the 1970s and 1980s, the question of public finance and the debate on environment between the seventies and eighties.
