EIT Digital 2021 – deadline May 7, 2020

EIT Digital launched the call for the building of "EIT Digital 2021" activities. Five strategic areas: Digital Tech, Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing and Digital Finance.

EIT Digital 2021 is aimed at entrepreneurial minds planning to launch a digital tech startup or to deliver entrepreneurial digital tech education programmes.  

The EIT Digital work programme 2021 is guided by the EIT Digital Strategic Innovation Agenda 2020-2022, which identifies five strategic areas: Digital Tech, Digital Industry, Digital Cities, Digital Wellbeing and Digital Finance.

Proposals can be submitted until May 7, 2020. The selection will be finalised by the end of June 2020 and approved activities are expected to start on January 1, 2021.

The EIT Digital Innovation Factory supports pan European entrepreneurial teams to launch deep-tech startups and new products, with the goal of enhancing the global impact of Europe’s digital industry, boosting sustainable economic growth and improving citizens’ quality of life.

With a pre-incubation support, selected activities will be embedded in the European ecosystem and receive a financial co-investment to package their technology, sign up customers and attract investors.

The EIT Digital Entrepreneurial Academy provides support for development and deployment of programmes and courses with business development-oriented components. Partners are invited to co-invest and benefit from the impact of improved Education contributing to the digital transformation of Europe and the creation of a digitally skilled workforce.

To strengthen Europe’s position in the digital world, the EIT Digital ecosystem will increase its delivery of disruptive innovations, launch and scale more ventures, and deliver even more of the entrepreneurial tech talents the market is longing for.”

“Over the years, the proposals made by EIT Digital’s more than 190 Industry partners, as well as 70 Research and Academia partners have resulted in more than 430 products launched on the market, more than 180 deep-tech startups created, in over 2,300 students with skills to innovate and become entrepreneurs, and over 200 PhD thesis defined with the Industry.”
