FBK AWARDED AT IMAGE SENSORS EUROPEAN CONFERENCE 2020

March 18, 2020

The title of Best Academic Research Team at ISEU 2020 awarded to the IRIS - Integrated Radiation & Image Sensors unit of the Materials and Microsystems Center of FBK

Thanks to cutting-edge research in the field of image sensors and silicon devices, the IRIS unit of the Bruno Kessler Foundation was awarded the Best Academic Research Team at the Image Sensors Europe Conference 2020.

Image Sensors is the European reference event for the world of imaging and, unlike the classic conferences, it is characterized by its strong orientation towards the market and aims to bring together and compare the different players in the sector: research, companies, institutions, financiers.

An opportunity to see up close the excellence and novelties of the image sensor industry and to reward those institutions that have distinguished themselves for the results obtained in the last year.

The event every year establishes five Awards, which are assigned to the best emerging company, the most innovative technological solution, the most innovative team, the manager of the year and the best research team.

The latter prize, the Best Academic Research Team Award, was awarded by the scientific committee of ISEU 2020 to the IRIS – Integrated Radiation & Image Sensors unit of FBK.

“We attended the conference bringing our research and our work on single photon sensors for distance measurement, but what the Award evaluates and rewards is the work done during the whole year by the research group – explains Matteo Perenzoni, head of the IRIS unit -.

The satisfaction of having been chosen among the many high-level groups invited to the conference is enormous.

“It is a result that rewards the dedication and daily commitment of all the researchers of our team and gives us a great motivation to continue our activities on single photon sensors and vision sensors “.
