Popularize Artificial Intelligence – Spread Your Results!

Williams Rizzi received a special mention at the "Pietro Torasso" Award - PhD student edition. With a video, he illustrates the research he is conducting as part of his PhD project in an way that can be easily understood by a non-specialist audience.

The competition is open to PhD students. Participants submitted max 5-minute videos which presents, in a lay person’s language, applications of artificial intelligence techniques used or developed as part of their doctoral projects.

The selected video by Williams Rizzi, a PhD Student in Computer Science (joint position) at UNIBZ and FBK, is entitled “Can We Make Process Forecasts More Useful?” and was awarded during the conference of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence, AIxIA 2020 that was held virtually November 25-27.

The focus of this edition was the communities working in the various research areas in this domain. AIxIA 2020 was the 19th International Conference of the Association. AIxIA is a non-profit scientific association founded in 1988 and dedicated to promoting Artificial Intelligence, increasing public awareness on AI, encouraging teaching and promoting on-the-field-research.
