Rethinking Public Health
What remedies to the many problems of public health: ideas and proposals from Ivan Cavicchi's Lecture and the final report of the Bioethics Committee of the Trento Medical Association | The event is being held on Saturday, October 28, at FBK
Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 9 am at FBK’s Aula Grande Hall, a meeting will be held on Public Health and on possible prescriptions for trying to solve the many questions that pass through it.
It will be a time for in-depth exploration on the topic of Public Health, organized by the Medical Association of the Province of Trento and Fondazione Bruno Kessler, through its FBK for Health program.
The event will start at 9.00 am with the opening that will be followed by the talk by Ivan Cavicchi, a scholar who has long dealt with health policies and philosophical problems in medicine. Starting from his last book, “The Fourth Reform“, he will present ideas to rethink the meaning of sustainability by producing health as the only way out to create wealth and balance the system: “All systems that cure diseases alone – he says – are intrinsically unsustainable. Sustainable systems are the ones that balance the cost of healthcare with the production of health. So, by removing the obstacle to sustainability, life will be easier for everyone. ”
A ROUND-TABLE DISCUSSION entitled: “The public welfare crisis and possible prescriptions” will follow, moderated by the Director of L’Adige Newspaper Pierangelo Giovanetti, where some members of the Bioethics Committee of the Medical Association will take turns to suggest possible instances and operational proposals to those who have to take charge of promoting sustainable and innovative health policies.
