The Centre for Religious Studies goes to Parliament

Lecture on radicalism and extremism, at Palazzo Montecitorio. The Committee invited researcher Maria Chiara Giorda as an expert of the subject to provide some clues about it and suggestions for the making of the bill to preventing violent fundamentalisms cases.
The research on violent radicalisms carried out by the Centre for Religious Studies received an important recognition: The president of the Constitutional, Presidency of the Council of Ministers and Interior Affairs Committee (Commissione Affari Costituzionali, della Presidenza del Consiglio e interni), along with the representative of each group, decided to start a survey of the subject to have a better understanding of the matter and better evaluate it.

Maria Chiara GiordaMaria Chiara Giorda is an historian of religions and she works on pluralism and public spaces, in particular on the challenges of diversity at school, tackling topics as the teaching about religions and food and religion at the canteen.
