Ghionda Francesco

Ghionda Francesco is a researcher at the Centre on Sustainable Energy, where he focuses on industrial energy flexibility and decarbonization strategies. He holds a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in energy systems, particularly their modeling and optimization across technical, economic, and environmental dimensions. His mission is to advance industrial involvement in energy flexibility and decarbonization, helping to build a cleaner and more resilient energy future through practical demonstration and validation. As Technical Coordinator for demonstration sites in EU-funded projects, he oversees implementation and technical performance, while also conducting advanced modeling and simulation of decarbonization technologies such as energy storage and conversion systems. His research further explores optimization approaches for energy systems and power grids, with a strong emphasis on demand-side flexibility and participation in energy markets.
