The ClimAtlas platform  was presented in Trento on October 5 by Cesare Furlanello, head of the MPBA Research Unit of Fondazione Bruno Kessler, at the conference promoted by the entities that have joined the Trentino Observatory on Climate.

In particular, the WebGIS tool, developed by Fondazione Bruno Kessler as a support for studies on the climate, is based on open source software technologies and is dedicated to displaying data in climate index, trend, extreme values and climatic map formats. The tool provides resources, data and analysis for research, agrotech and public information activities.

All data can be viewed on the ClimAtlas platform at any time.

The processings that can be seen on the website are the result of analysis activities carried out under the “Atlante Climatico” project, which is part of the activities planned by the Trentino Observatory on climate and which are funded with resources provided by the Climate Change Fund established by the Autonomous Province of Trento.

The Trentino Observatory on Climate consists of the Civil Defense Department, which carries out the coordination role of the Provincial Environmental Protection Agency, Fondazione Bruno Kessler, Fondazione Edmund Mach, the Department of Environmental and Mechanical Civil Engineering, the University of Trento, MUSE – Museum of Science and the Glaciological Committee of Sat.
