Camilla Tenaglia

Collaborator of the Italian-German Historical Institute of the Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK-ISIG). She obtained a doctorate at the University of Trento in collaboration with ISIG with a thesis on the bishop of Trento Celestino Endrici (1904-1940), now being published. She was then a research collaborator at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt, with a project on the selection of prefects in Italy (1970-2000).

She dealt with the history of Trentino and the history of the Church in the early twentieth century. She is currently working on a biography of Bruno Kessler as part of a research that aims to investigate the “roots of contemporary Trentino“. The project is funded by the Caritro Foundation and carried out in collaboration with the Trentino Historical Museum Foundation, the Center for European Studies of the University of Verona and the Provincial Archives of Trento.

She edited the book Church and nation on the borders of Italy (LeMonnier 2021) and published essays on Celestino Endrici and Trentino Catholicism between the two wars and on the mediatization in the pontificate of Pius XII.
