Call for the selection of the Director of FBK’s Center for Digital Society published

The selection steps for the position of director of the Digital Society research center, dedicated to the new challenges of the digital society of the future, are underway.

The selection process for the position of director for Fondazione Bruno Kessler’s Digital Society research center, dedicated to the new challenges of the digital society of the future and committed to exploring, understanding and shaping the intricate interaction between information and communication technologies with communities, is underway. 

Specifically, the center’s mission will be to conduct pioneering research focused on two crucial areas where ICT can have a profound impact on contemporary society: digital twins for human society and new media and education for a resilient society – dynamic simulations of the world that enable people to understand, predict and cope with future challenges, and the exploration of the dynamics of new media and the development of advanced digital solutions to innovate education and learning for a more inclusive, sustainable and resilient society respectively.

Scientists with high and recognized scientific reputation and strategic vision are invited to apply. Candidates should have managerial qualifications, proven international experience and an established network of relationships within their respective communities of reference. 

The appointment will be for three years, renewable for another three years. The selection steps will be accurately documented and shared with the entire scientific community and with Foundation staff.
