The kick-off meeting of the Horizon Europe project Hy-SPIRE “Hydrogen production by innovative solid oxide cell for flexible operation at intermediate temperature” was held in Warsaw on 8-9 February 2024, hosted by coordinator – the Institute of Power Engineering – National Research Institute (IPE-NRI).

A series of videos with FBK researchers who conduct research and development activities in collaboration with industry, academia and public institutions in the energy sector.

The North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley (NAHV), the first transnational initiative of this kind under the Horizon Europe programme, supported by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, was launched in Portorož-Portorose, Slovenia. Fondazione Bruno Kessler as partner in the project, will be in charge of several activities such as the safety plan, the modelling of the digital twin of H2 valley and definition for a certification scheme for the green H2 guarantees of origin.

The new Hydrogen Hub will be hosted in Rovereto at the Arcese area. This is provided for in the memorandum of understanding signed by Trentino Sviluppo with the industrial group.

The final public event of this European Project in which FBK participated, took place in Bad Zwischenahn (Germany) with the poster exhibition opening the EMEA Workshop 2023.

The exhibition event of this European Project took place in Paris, on April 21st, 2023, with the presentation of the project activities and the demonstration of the prototype.

The Sustainable Energy Center as partner of the project funded by the European Interreg Alpine Space Program intended to promote energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and strengthen measures for energy sufficiency in the tourist areas of the Alpine region.

The appointment of 24 January 2023 concerns the most important European research organization in the field of hydrogen.

The results of the call on the Extended Partnerships of the MUR, based on the PNRR, have rewarded FBK, protagonist of 5 proposals among those that have passed the first selection, dedicated to 14 topics of national interest.

Two days in Seoul for an expanded meeting between Italian and South Korean science and technology players.

Luigi Crema, director of the Sustainable Energy Center at Fondazione Bruno Kessler, was elected a member of the board of Hydrogen Europe Research, an association that brings together 108 international research institutions dedicated to energy development in the field of hydrogen. In particular, Dr. Crema will be in charge of the hydrogen production Technical Committee.
