Martino Bernard

Martino Bernard obtained his B.S. degree in physics in 2011 from the University of Trento, where he also obtained the M.S. degree in 2013 with a thesis work realized in the APP group, Bruno Kessler Foundation (FBK). In 2017 he completed his PhD from the University of Trento working on multiple aspects of integrated silicon photonics circuits in the FBK facilities. His early-career research focussed on development of photonic circuit elements on Silicon-On-Insulator and Silicon Nitride platforms and the study of Pockels type nonlinearity in silicon. His current research, conducted in the FMPS group in the Sensors and Devices research centre of FBK, focusses on the integration of photonic circuits with control electronics and detectors. He is author or co-author of more than 20 papers.
