Diego Viesi
Diego Viesi is a Certified Energy Manager and Geologist. He has been working at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) since 2013, as a research technologist in the energy department. Currently he is Senior Researcher & Advisor for the Area Sustainable Territories.
Since 2021, leading the Area Sustainable Territories in the Centre for Sustainable Energy (FBK-SE), he has acquired > 10 strategic European projects, with funding for FBK > 4 M€ and for demos in the Province of Trento > 11 M€.
Over the last 10 years he has developed a broad experience in multiple sectors: renewable energy sources, energy planning, sustainable mobility, energy flexibility, building renovation, industrial decarbonization, climate change, Smart Cities and Energy Communities.
Overall, he has been involved in more than 30 research projects at a regional, national, and European level, in some of which as Coordinator.
Finally, he has contributed to the authorship of > 25 publications in both national and international journals within the topics of energy and environmental studies (>100 citations/year)
